FACT-CHECKING POLICY
CuriousAxis aims to verify factual claims before publication and to use sources appropriate to the subject being discussed.
Fact-checking is part of the editorial process, particularly when an article includes statistics, research findings, financial information, health information, dates, technical claims, or statements about organizations and products.
SOURCE SELECTION
Where practical, we prefer primary and authoritative sources.
Depending on the topic, these may include government agencies, academic research, regulatory bodies, official company documentation, professional organizations, technical documentation, financial filings, and other original materials.
Secondary reporting may also be used when it provides relevant context or when primary information is unavailable.
CONFLICTING INFORMATION
Sources do not always agree.
When credible sources provide materially different information, CuriousAxis aims to examine the difference rather than simply selecting the version that produces the strongest conclusion.
Where uncertainty cannot reasonably be resolved, the article should make that uncertainty clear.
TIME-SENSITIVE INFORMATION
Some subjects change quickly, particularly in technology, finance, business, and health.
Publication dates and editorial update dates help readers understand when an article was produced or meaningfully revised. However, readers should also consider whether rapidly changing information may have developed since publication.
SOURCES IN ARTICLES
Articles may include source links directly within the text, a dedicated Sources section, or both.
Not every article requires the same sourcing structure. The level of sourcing should reflect the nature of the subject and the factual claims being made.
AFTER PUBLICATION
Fact-checking does not end when an article is published.
If reliable information shows that a material factual claim is incorrect, CuriousAxis may correct or update the article in accordance with our Corrections Policy.
Questions about factual accuracy can be sent to contact@curiousaxis.com.
